Orthodontics

Our lead specialty. Braces, aligners, retainers, and early intervention — matched to your case, not to a sales target.

Duration6 months – 2 years
Best forAll ages, alignment & bite
InsuranceNathealth · Mednet

Orthodontics is the discipline of moving teeth and guiding jaw growth to achieve a stable, healthy bite. At Dr. Mais Clinic it is our lead specialty, and every case begins with a full diagnostic workup: clinical exam, digital photos, X-rays, and models of your bite.

We offer the full range of modern orthodontic appliances: metal braces, ceramic braces, clear aligners, retainers, and early intervention appliances for children. The right choice depends on your case, your age, and your priorities — not on what the clinic happens to sell.

At your first visit we review the diagnostic records with you, explain the movements your teeth need, and present the appropriate options with realistic timelines and costs. Nothing is started until you understand the plan and agree to it.

Typical treatment runs from six months for simple cases to two years for complex bite corrections. Treatment is followed by retention — a permanent phase, not an optional add-on — that keeps the result stable for life. Good candidates are patients of any age with alignment or bite concerns who are committed to attending appointments and looking after their oral hygiene throughout.

Clear Aligners

Nearly invisible, removable trays. Great for disciplined adults — honest about when braces are the better call.

Duration6 – 18 months
Best forAdults, mild–moderate cases
InsuranceNathealth · Mednet

Clear aligners are a series of thin, custom-fitted transparent trays. Each tray moves your teeth a fraction of a millimetre, and you change trays every one to two weeks to progress through the sequence. To work, they must be worn 20 to 22 hours a day — removed only for eating and brushing.

Invisalign is the most established brand, and it comes with well-developed treatment planning software and a large research base. Generic clear aligners can be effective in simple cases at lower cost, but treatment planning and predictability vary between systems. We recommend the option that fits your case, not a fixed brand.

Compared with metal braces, aligners are nearly invisible, removable, and easier to clean around. They tend to suit adult patients with mild to moderate alignment issues who will genuinely wear them. Metal braces remain more predictable for heavy corrections, rotations, and cases requiring extractions.

Compliance is the single biggest factor in aligner success. Trays left in a case do nothing for your teeth. We will discuss honestly whether aligners are a realistic option for your lifestyle before recommending them.

General Dentistry

Check-ups, cleanings, fillings, and prevention. Small problems caught early stay small.

DurationOngoing, every 6 months
Best forEveryone — preventive care
InsuranceNathealth · Mednet

General dentistry is the foundation of oral health. Routine check-ups every six months let us catch cavities, gum inflammation, and enamel wear early, when they are small and easy to treat.

We provide professional cleaning to remove tartar that brushing cannot reach, tooth-coloured composite fillings for cavities, and preventive care including fluoride treatment and dietary guidance. Every visit is calm, unrushed, and explained as we go.

Children's Dentistry

Early, unpressured visits that build good habits for life — prevention first, treatment second.

DurationFrom age 1
Best forKids, calm-first approach
InsuranceNathealth · Mednet

A child's first dental visit should happen by age one, or within six months of the first tooth erupting. The visit is short — mostly counting teeth, checking for early decay, and letting the child get comfortable in the chair.

Early visits matter because habits set in childhood decide oral health for decades. We focus on prevention: cleaning, fluoride, sealants on the deep grooves of new adult molars, and coaching on brushing technique for both parent and child. Every child is met at their level, without pressure.

Root Canal

Painless under local anaesthetic. The reason so many teeth are still in the mouth.

Duration1 – 2 visits
Best forSaving an infected tooth
InsuranceNathealth · Mednet

Root canal treatment removes infected or inflamed pulp from inside a tooth, cleans and shapes the internal canals, and seals them with a biocompatible material. It is how we save teeth that would otherwise need extraction.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic and is usually painless. Recovery is straightforward — mild tenderness for a day or two — and the tooth is typically restored with a crown to protect it long-term.

Implants

Titanium roots that behave like the real thing. The closest replacement to a natural tooth.

Duration3 – 6 months integration
Best forReplacing missing teeth
InsuranceNathealth · Mednet

A dental implant is a titanium post placed in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth's root. Once the bone integrates with the implant — usually three to six months — a custom crown is fixed on top to restore chewing and appearance.

The process begins with a consultation, imaging, and a treatment plan. Surgical placement is a short outpatient procedure under local anaesthetic. Follow-up visits monitor healing, and the final crown is fitted once integration is confirmed. Implants are the closest modern dentistry gets to replacing a natural tooth.

Extractions

Only when it is the honest right call. Safe, controlled, quick recovery.

DurationSame-day visit
Best forWhen it is genuinely the right call
InsuranceNathealth · Mednet

Extraction is a last resort — but sometimes it is the right call: severe decay, advanced gum disease, impacted wisdom teeth, or teeth removed as part of an orthodontic plan.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. Aftercare is straightforward: bite on gauze, avoid rinsing vigorously for 24 hours, take prescribed pain relief, and follow the diet guidance we provide. Most patients return to normal activity the next day.

Consultations

A full conversation, not a sales pitch. You leave with clarity on what you need and what's next.

Duration45 – 60 minutes
Best forAnyone starting a plan
InsuranceNathealth · Mednet

A first consultation is a full conversation, not a sales pitch. We take a clinical history, examine your teeth and bite, and often take X-rays and photos to see the full picture.

You leave with clarity: what your teeth need, what your options are, honest ranges of time and cost, and what happens next. Please bring your ID, insurance card if applicable, and any recent X-rays from previous dental work.
